Anush Pele - Bio
Anush, from the Persian, means sweet.
Pele is the Spirit of Fire and the Dance. “Anush” offers kindness to the Goddess of the Fire “Pele”, who is of vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic spirit. In receiving this gift Pele becomes more compassionate, sensual and graceful.  Anush Pele embodies the synthesis of these two forces. She brings her exquisite and colorful technique, her impressive stage presence, and deep theatrical and holistic knowledge to the dance to make her classes and performance an unforgettable experience.                                              Anush Pele began her life in the province of the Red Lands, in Misiones Forest, Argentina, where the Yerba Mate, a traditional drink of Northeast Argentina, also traces its origin. Dancing has always been an essential part of life in her culture. Festivities are celebrated with music and dance and involve the whole family. Her first school of dance was in her own home, where she learned the traditional dances of her region.  Soon, in elementary school, she was introduced to Argentinean folkloric dances like pericón, gato, chamamé, corridos, zamba, chr her exquisite technique, dramatic stage presence and high-concept theatrical flair. She has performed at countless social events, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, folk festivals, and at cultural centers, restaurants, and fairs, sharing her culture, her acareras, Escondido and many other typical Argentine dances, as well as the Brazilian dances samba, pagode and axe, which she performed at countless events.
Anush Pele moved to Buenos Aires, the Argentinean capital, as a teenage girl. It was here that she began her Metaphysical studies with spiritual guides from whom she sought to learn the meaning of human existence, our mission and purpose here on Earth, and the holistic approach to dance and art. Those experiences form the core of her being, and she integrates them into every facet of her life.
Over the years Anush Pele would increase her repertory of dances to include salsa, merengue, tango and milonga. But it was her first experience with Belly Dancing that truly changed her life, and motivated her to begin what has become a lifelong relationship with this elemental dance form.
“Belly Dancing came to my life like gift from heaven. It has served me as a form of meditation, has imparted self-knowledge, and has helped me connect with the Eternal Feminine aspect of my being”. AP
